The 5th book I read this year was ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ by Bonnie Garmus. This book is a smash hit and being made into a prominent TV series to premier on Apple TV+ in October of 2023 starring Brie Larson. I can see why. It seems like a book designed to be made into a show. It has a lot going for it. A female protagonist, who rows, and cooks, is a brilliant scientist, and is lonely, and forlorn, and of course gorgeous. There is a kid. There is science. And a cooking show. All good to go.

Unfortunately, this was not a book for me. It didn’t do much for me. Except of course I can now show off when watching the movie later this year that I have “read the book.” 😀
