Over the years, we have seen Hollywood heros save the world time and again using their laptops while most ordinary fold find it hard to send email efficiently. War Games is a doomsday scenario warning picture. It tells you how easy it is for someone to log into the powerful computers of the world and cause a global warfare. The idea is interesting and had the implementation not been so childish, the movie could have been more fun.
It is an enjoyable movie if you completely disbelieve it -- but the catch is that it is not entirely impossible. So the movie dwindles into a mostly teen affair.
