Much-needed closure. Better late than never. I have newfound respect for them.
I was recently listening to 'Automatic for the people' and marveling at the sound and lamenting the loss of it at the same time. R.E.M never really recovered after that. It has mostly beep a slow steady decline. I am glad that they've finally decided to move on because the audience already did...a while ago.
