Blessed: Lucinda Williams from a stinging bee to healing honey...

If Lucinda Williams's last album 'Honey Bee' was all Bee and stung like one, 'Blessed' is all Honey and tastes like it. A brilliantly produced album, Blessed sounds opulent and well-rounded. Lucinda's voice is still gruffly but  is brilliantly presented in a bevy of mellifluous songs. An excellent blues/rock album, Blessed is certainly a treat. While a departure from Honey in the tone, it still has the earthy, gritty voice that makes Lucinda Williams such as pleasure to hear.
