The hugeness of pumpkins

Growing up, pumpkins were a sign of ridicule. You called someone a a 'kaddu' pejoratively. You never wanted to eat mushy pumpkin vegetable. But for our kids pumpkins are huge! They are painted, collected, revered, decorated, and generally celebrated. 

Goes to show how a point-of-view changes the fundamental nature of things.
