This is 40: An entertaining celebration of first-world problems

40s are hard. Kids are tough, Marriages are difficult. Even for the well-off, 2-percenters. Judd Apatow's semi-autobiographical picture featuring most of his family and Paul Rudd, is an entertaining reminder that life has a way of sucking even in its comfortable suburban American Dream incarnation. Everything sort of tries to push you to a numbness of existence where joylessness isn't a problem. Its when you fight that, and almost everyone does, that your overt problems start.

If you happen to be around the age of 40 and with kids then there is certainly appeal here and entertainment. And also a bit of pain - for everything your life isn't. That's what makes the film worth watching once.
