Let's save USPS (if it must be) by making junk mail more expensive

Can the USPS be saved (if it must be) by bumping up the prices of commercial bulk (more popularly knows as junk mail) by an order of magnitude? Do we really care for our Pottery Barn catalogues? Do we really care for those credit card offers? Barring perhaps the fine Victoria's Secret catalogues, do you think we await any unsolicited commercial junk mail?
